Massive image storing on my server
Hi,
I have thousands of pictures that used to be stored on a dedicated (paid) storage server and then linked from there into (another) forum posts. Since my current agreement with my Forum hosting provider has everything unlimited, can I make a directory where my vBulletin is installed (as .../home/images/my_pics/), upload images there and use them as I need. I tried with a small number of pictures in a custom made directory but could not get any images to appear in the (still testing) posts. For example, if my image1.jpg is located at: mysite.com/public_html/home/images/my_pics/image1.jpg I tried as (using "insert image") http://mysite.com/public_html/home/i...ics/image1.jpg but it only brings a red "x". From that dedicated external storage server it works like that. But not from my own server. Edit: my bad. The path was wrong. correct way to use images from my own site (remove blanks): |
