How to get Twitter button and facebook button to sit next to each other?

I've launched a vB4 website.

I have tried to add a "tweet" button - and I don't mean like those for threads, I mean the twitter button that goes on mainpage. So that the user tweets www.site.com rather than www.site.com/thread.1

And I have tried putting the "like" button too.

My problem isn't that there are display errors for either. My problem is getting them to sit next to each other, as if it was meant to be a part of an article.

When I added it to the CMS sidebar, the buttons is indented and is in the next line as if I pressed "enter" on my keyboard.

I want my twitter button/like button to sit exactly like this:

Facebook like - Twitter Button - Facebook Recommend

And then in the future, I can add new lines such as this:

Facebook like - Twitter Button - Facebook Recommend
N4G - DiGG - StumbleUpon

That's just an example...

Any answers?

We'd need to get a link to the actual page in order to make any recommendation on what you should do.

use www.addthis.com instead of individual buttons from each site.

I went to a thread on your site and all I see if the Facebook Like button, not the other buttons. We can't help you get them aligned correctly if we can't see them.
