Replace default vb favicon
 

To replace the default vb favicon, I uploaded the new favicon.ico file to the public_html directory and overwrote the existing file with the same name there, but the new favicon still not shown. Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks

it may be stored in your browser cache
give it 10 mins and check again

Actually... I have the same question... but I changed mine 5 days ago... and still not showing.

more than an hour now, still now showing. Is the public_html the right directory?

It doesn't appear so, because I downloaded the favicon file and see it's already the custom icon, but when I check domainname.com/favicon.ico, it still shows the vb icon.

your favicon is cached by your browser, the fastest way to solve this problem is copy the ULR to your favicon and enter on your browser, you will see your new favicon update, after that, back your forum and see the change.

You could also go to admin cp

go to style and templates then style manager.Click on style variable editor

Now on the search bar on the left write favicon.You will then see that come up.Click on that and put in the correct image path mine is favicon.ico
