Oops... Should I be concerned

I meant to post this in VB4... but for some reason, I posted in VB3.

The last couple of days... viewing my "who's online" page... I see numerous IP addresses that are viewing pages similar to this:

showthread.php/clientscript/clientscript/clientscript/vbulletin_md5.js?v=410

or
showthread.php/clientscript/clientscript/yui/yuiloader-dom-event/clientscript/yui/yuiloader-dom-event/yuiloader-dom-event.js?v=410

The above is just two examples... there are a whole bunch of clientscript links they are trying to access. I can see they are getting the yellow warning sign indicating they are seeing an error message. There are about 6 or 7 IPs doing this. My board is new and usually never has more than 5 guests (with half of them being spiders). I have banned all IPs within that range that are doing this. But... my question is... should I be concerned? I have NO idea what they are trying to do with this.

Download the latest spiderlist.xml and see what bots are doing this.

I am also curious

Latest spiders list does not identify any thing further

"It" is trying to access /forums/clientscript/clientscript/clientscript/clientscript/vbulletin_md5.js?v=411
With an IP of 69.28.58.7

Any one figure out what was going on ?

Ok... let's say I am a newbie (ok, ok... I am a newbie). What would I do with the spider list? I want to keep certain spiders that are going to increase my web-search traffic. But... I don't want any security risks with these IPs trying to get at my system...

Speaking of which... I found that an IP from Trend Micro (a company that supposedly provides security for websites) was attempting to hack/log-in to my admincp. I banned one address... and minutes later, another IP of theirs was attempting to do the same. I did a google search and found a list of all IPs associated with Trend Micro and in the cPanel... blocked them all.

You can install boofos mod for whats going on and use wolfheads newest list then you can rewrite robot txt to exclude any spiders you don't want

You already have a spiderlist.xml as part of your forum software, but this one is much better and shows you what spiders are on your site. If you have the above mod installed.

Makes sense. Thanks!
