Mixpod.com playlist BB Code (BBCode)

1 Attachment(s)
Demo: http://www.juot.net/forums/showthread.php?t=52224

Code Example: [mix="2011/01/02"]74756735[/mix] =

Mixpod.com is a site that allows you to build playlists of your favorite music and it will find them on sites like YouTube and it will play them as if they were local files. It's a great way to share music without having to download actual mp3 files. The site requires registration but it is free and easy.

Once you sign up you search for music and add it to your playlist(s). You can then get embed code to share your playlists. From this code you must pull out 2 values for the BB Code...

A sample <embed> tag is below:
Code:

<embed src="http://assets.mixpod.com/swf/mp3/mixpod.swf?myid=74756735&path=2011/01/02" quality="high" wmode="window" bgcolor="222222" flashvars="mycolor=222222&mycolor2=77ADD1&mycolor3=FFFFFF&autoplay=false&rand=0&f=4&vol=100&pat=0&grad=false" width="410" height="311" name="myflashfetish" salign="TL" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" border="0" style="visibility:visible;width:410px;height:311px;" /><br><a href="http://www.mixpod.com/playlist/74756735"><img src="http://assets.mixpod.com/images/btn2-tracks.gif" alt="Music" title="Get Music Tracks!" border="0"></a><a href="http://www.mixpod.com" target="_blank">
The myid in red is the parameter and the path in blue is the option.

So once again the example BB Code in this case would be:
[mix="2011/01/02"]74756735[/mix]

See the screen shot or demo for how it will look.

To install this BB Code in your forum...

Admin CP -> Add a New BB Code

Title: Mixpod Playlist
BB Code Tag Name: mix
Replacement:
Code:

<embed src="http://assets.mixpod.com/swf/mp3/mixpod.swf?myid={param}&path={option}" quality="high" wmode="window" bgcolor="222222" flashvars="mycolor=222222&mycolor2=77ADD1&mycolor3=FFFFFF&autoplay=false&rand=0&f=4&vol=100&pat=0&grad=false" width="410" height="311" name="myflashfetish" salign="TL" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" border="0" style="visibility:visible;width:410px;height:311px;" /><br><a href="http://www.mixpod.com/playlist/{param}"  target="_blank"><img src="http://assets.mixpod.com/images/btn2-tracks.gif" alt="Music" title="Get Music Tracks!" border="0" ></a>

I want to again thank you for your willingness to help develop this modification. I had been searching for something like this for vBulletin for a while now and even attempted to make one myself... The best I could do was bring up their player, but no music list with it.

Thank you :)

Installed & fully working

4.1 PL2

No problem. The secret to making good BB Codes is to look at the mess of embed code a site gives you and be able to filter out all the unnecessary "junk" for lack of a better word... extra links and whatnot... Once you're left with only what you absolutely need you look for values like ID's or such that change each time... This one was a little trickier than say youtube because it had 2 things changing each time.
