how to limit [IMG] code by usergroup ... or even user ... for posting! not blogs

i am using VB 3.8.6 and i can turn off [IMG] code for a whole forum but not for specific users or usergroups. i can limit someones ability to attach a picture...but not the IMG code itself.

this is frustrating with all the places and tweaks you have to do with VB to do simple things.

is Invision Power board any better with stuff like this?

Well, generally when you can't find something and you've done a fair search, it's because it's not there. vB doesn't have this ability by default.

Advanced BBCode Permissions

People have reported being able to use this still, even on the 4.x series. And do you really think you're going to get an unbiased opinion about Invision on a vBulletin website? ;)

I presumed it was in there. I guess it's not included to prevent conflict with some other things. You can try the suggestions in this post: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ge#post1854293.
