Block user comment
 

This is something my community has requested....

Some way to block another member from adding a comment on your blog.

Anyone know how to do this?

I'm sure someone else other then me has thought about this.

vBulletin 4 has been out for a little over 1 year and only 1 single Mod has been released for the blogs. Are they that hard to code?

I count thirteen, myself.

Specifically another member, or just generally? Beyond the Ignore/Contacts list permissions in vB default, right?

As it currently stands now, members on your ignore list can still comment on your blog post.

I'd like to see a modification that would prevent this ... ie ... Not just say "X" user is on your ignore list. But rather block them from even posting in the authors blog.

EDIT: 13? Where do you see 13? I use the drop down menu for vBulletin Blogs (in vBulletin 4 sub forum) and can only find 1 template edit. Do a title search with the word "blog" and came up with 6 (again, for the vBulletin 4 Mods)

It could be that I'm having to go by other people's blogs, since I don't have it installed; but, for example, on vB.com, I see the ability to prevent users on your Ignore List from Viewing and/or commenting on your blog entires. Yeah, I searched titles. But you have to search "blog" and "blogs" separately, as the search here seems to exclude partial matches. (Which really makes it fun when one of my search terms is "plugin".) I see six for "blog" and seven more for "blogs".

Now if only I could get Playlist added into someone's blog profile.

I never search for plurals, I only search for singulars with a wildcard at the end - ie. "blog*" which comes up with all 13. :)

Oh yeah, wildcards. I knew that. <smacks forehead>
