Tynt - Leverage the benefit of copy/paste on your forum
NOTE:
This modification works for all versions of vBulletin. DESCRIPTION: Each time a user pastes content from your website into an email, blog or website, we automatically add a URL link back to your site?s original content. When someone clicks that URL, they are directed back to your site and see the original content. This drives incremental traffic to your site when your content is shared without your knowledge while maintaining a consistent user experience. How to Install ? CMS Systems When you sign up for a Tynt Insight account a custom script will be created specifically for you. Add the javascript snippet to the HTML on your page templates right before the end of the body close tag. Tynt Insight will begin working immediately. Read more: Tynt ? How to Install ? Yes, the code that they supply to you, it goes before the </body> tag on any cms/forum including the vbulletin/invision/phpbb/smf/mybb/xenforo/wordpress/joomla/phpnuke/blogger etc

I had this on my forum for a long time but removed it because it was just one more script running to slow the site down.
|
the tynt.com script shouldn't add that much, though it would be nice if they gave us the scripts used to do this so we can host it locally.
Actually, here's something you should read. Quote:

Tynt has two js files, which often load in 300ms each. That's 0.6 seconds load time to each page. Tynt must be busy these days. Such page load time is not acceptable. Even though its a great service, such page load is more trouble than what its worth.
