Recommendations on Video Content per User?
 

Hello there and hope to get some recommendations from the vB veterans around here.

I'd like to provide a way for user's to have own Video content page or something. Similar to the Album in vB where user's have own album and comments can be posted to them.

So in that way, I'd like a user to be able to post url to their video. Maybe even offer ability to upload actual vid file, but not crucial. So, ppl can then post comments to the video, maybe even rate it. Somehow show on ForumHome or other...lastet submitted videos or something. I also use VBCMS and any potential usage of that would be great.

Please let me know what plugins/mods might be best suited for this application.

BOP, I totally checked out that recommendation. Rang my bell very loudly as it seemed to definitely hit on what I was looking for and more. However, there seems to be a detrimental feature though. It will not work without configured hoster information. That is input via an XML file as far as I can tell. There are no guidelines how to create one and none officially provided. One was provided for a host called veoh, but I have no idea how to begin understanding the voluminous code within it. I'm just interested in youtube. :( Hopefully someone will graciously provide their XML later.

I believe this is where most people would have got their youtube xml file from.
