Signup and Profile Questions...(help)
 

(1) Where can I edit the pre-sign TOS agreement? the tos
that a member has to check before he can actually signup....
where can i find it, and or how do I edit?

(2) I would like to limit profile usage for new members so
to prevent drop in links, or link spamming...How can i set
this up so new members can not access profile until x
number of posts?

1) AdminCP > Languages & Phrases >
Now choose either search in phrases and type in some of the text you see in the rules on the register page and search for it or simply click phrase manager. The phrase you want to edit is "forum_rules_description".

2) I don't know if there's a mod out for that already... upon searching I came across other variations i.e. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=235184 which is for signatures etc however I do know you can setup promotions in the forum for lets say post count, that user once they reach so many posts can be promoted to a new usergroup where they can have profile controls and you can even go as far as to use template conditionals to block anyone not in that promoted group or simply block unregistered and the lowly registered usergroup. Otherwise you will need a modification made to take care of that for you.
