Reduce Header image

I've tried and tried with no avail to reduce the header image. I upload smaller kb images,but the header is still way too tall. What else can I do? Thanks

Are you using an IMG tag to place the header on the page? If so you could use the height attribute but watch out for jagged edges or loss of clarity. It might just be better to make the image the size you want rather than trying to height it.
