VB 4.1.0 Automatically limited Image resize to 800 pixels?

in my file config.php

// Image Processing Options
// Images that exceed either dimension below will not be resized by vBulletin. If you need to resize larger images, alter these settings.
$config['Misc']['maxwidth'] = 2592;
$config['Misc']['maxheight'] = 1944;

but in post. It's automatically limited Image resize to 800 pixels?
please help!

this is pissing me off. It seems that 4.1.0 added more to do with the image resizing still.. my images are being resized automatically again even though the above is all still set.

new stylevars were added under 'Common':
image_large_max
image_medium_max
image_small_max

I had to change the image_medium_max to something larger just to get images posted on my forum to be wider than 800 pixels. Why in the world are images being automatically limited to 800 pixels? Please just give us a way to control this in the Admin Control Panel instead of changing this with every version release and not telling us how to turn it off ...

Look at the css for ".postbit .content img, .postbitlegacy .content img, .postbitdeleted .content img, .postbitignored .content img, .eventbit .content img" and you'll see there is a max-width for the image set there. Find the stylevar and change it. This has been around for many releases. In fact, it may have been around since the beginning of vB4.

Can you help me how to reszize images at visitor messages? Stylevar works fine, but at forum only.

Thanks

I like that feature myself.

Post a link to a VM that has an image in it that I can see as an unregistered user and I can take a look. Otherwise, you may be interested in this article to help you find stylevars yourself - How To: Find the correct StyleVar/LayoutVar to edit

Well, I must register you to be able to see VM. I can send you login details to your PM.
Similar thing hapend when I Preview Post (or edit), image is at original size, but when I submit post image is resized. Its not the case with VM.
Here is VM case, you can see that image goes to the right, outside the main frame:

Postbit sample:
Attachment 124336

Here is same picture at postbit:

PHP Code:

element.style {

height533px;

width800px;
}
.
postbit .content img, .postbitlegacy .content img, .postbitdeleted .content img, .postbitignored .content img, .eventbit .content img {

max-width800px;

and same picture at VM:

PHP Code:

element.style {

height608px;

width912px;
}
fieldsetimg {

border0 none;

Then just write some CSS to set a max-width for the images in the VMs, no? Something like:
HTML Code:

#message_list .vm_blockrow img {max-width: 400px;}

I put your code in additional.css
It works! Thank you so much!

I'm having similar problems. Is there anyway that I can get images in visitor messages to resize? Like if they are over 600 px then shrink and can be resized.

When I add this: #message_list .vm_blockrow img {max-width: 400px;}
to my additional.css that makes all images over 400px shrink to that size, but you can clink them and make them full size.
