jGrowl Integration with Vbulletin 4

I would love to find a way to integrate vbulletin with jGrowl.

I checked the database and in the user table, the data is there already in the tables vmunreadcount and pmunread

is there a way to know when this data changes and use jGrowl to display it without a page refresh?
