Looking to spice up the postbit legacy

As you can see above, it's pretty bland. I want to make the postbit legacy stand out more, maybe with some drop shadow or highlight effects. Is this possible? Can anyone recommend any type of template mod or plugin that will give my forum a new look in this specific area?
