Can't seem to resolve Blog Sidebar boarder issue. Please help!

I have wasted the entire weekend, playing around with stylevar, and following the vbulletin style guides. But, nothing seems to fix my problem.

See attached screen capture:

1. There is a drop shadow at the bottom and left of each blog sidebar section. It doesnt appear in Safari, but it does appear in Firefox and IE. How do i remove this drop-shadow?

2. I am trying to make each blog widget/block have a pink boarder. But, no gray color connecting the widget/block, and no single pink boarder covering the entire set of blocks. How do i create these separate pink boarder look?

NOTE: Added an example of what my CMS and Forum Widget/Sidebars look like. This is what i am trying to replicate in the BLOG section.

Help greatly appreciated!
