How to remove Threads, Post Display on Forum Board?

Hey guys,

I tried googling this up but to no avail. On the main board forum homepage it displays how many threads and posts are there per forum/sub-forum. Is there anyway I can prevent this from showing? I looked into the style templates but theres too much occurrence of the word threads for me to trace and see where to hide it. If anyone has done this before, I would be grateful if you can share :D

Thanks!

Hide it in what way? Now show that at all? Or show Threads: - and Posts: - or what?

And no, there is no option to turn it off, you'd have to edit the template or write a plugin depending on what you want displayed there.

Hi Lynne,

On the forum main homepage, it shows all the forum categories as well as the Last Post of each forum. (referring to vb4 default template). The Last Post is shown to the extreme right of the forum, on the left of Last Post there is

Threads: 123
Posts: 91231

that displays on every forum category on the forum main home page. Is there a way I can use to prevent the above from displaying? Thank you for your help!

I know that shows. So, do you want that removed completely (you need to do a template edit) or just to say:
Threads: -
Posts: -

In which case you can just write a plugin.

I would like to remove that completely, do you know which template file to edit? There are quite alot of template files.

To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. (Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.)

Awesome! Thank you Lynne! I have found the template and commented it out, very useful feature! :D
