Images turn Gray
 

So I have a very annoying problem. I'm in the process of creating a style [first time] and I've noticed alot of styles usetthe concept of making images such as navbars 1px wide. Im trying to do this aswell but everything I make my navbar background image 1px and uploaded it, the actual image doesent show it turns gray. But when I make the image for example 400x32 it works fine. I'm not sure if this makes any sense but I have no other way of explaining it.
