Mod alert box request

I have asked about a mod like this we once had on our forum but has gone MIA.
Hopefully this should be easy for those that know how (which I unfortunately dont)

I would like a new forum block that shows the user, posts, and threads that need to be moderated as shown in the ACP home. I have no idea where to get that info from to insert into the block. Is it also possible to have it so only mods and admin can see it?

If you use vBAdvanced CMPS you will have such a box.

Where and how can I get it? Sorry to seem to vague, but our developer left us in the lurch recently and I am still picking up pieces and making things up as I go with no training or previous experience. (The closest I have come to anything like this is manipulating VBA in excel :) )

All I know is we have VB4.0.7 and it is functional and I have managed to install various mods relatively. Is there something I need to upgrade, install, manipulate?
