RSS Issues
 

Hi All

Right I am running VB 4.0.1 as its all my licence will allow and I am setting up a new forum, so I want to know its potential before I upgrade so I ain't wasting money.

Anyway My Problem...

I have set up the RSS section so that every day the UK Sea Tides updates to the latest Times
ie
Bridlington

its set to check the site for the RSS every 20 minutes

It did it the very first time yesterday and updated the forum correctly, however the RSS has since changed but the site hasn't updated.

If I go to the RSS Managers preview it shows the latest feed, its just not updating the forum.

I have tried resetting it and also tried running scheduled tasks, but nothing changes.

Any help is appreciated.

Anyway just to check you have set the times for the Rss feeds to update correctly??

its set to update every 6 hours but it doesn't even when I tried running scheduled tasks

I thought maybe it was failing because the RSS posts were so similar but I don't think thats the reason now because if I remove the RSS and then re-apply it, then it will do the pick up and post, but still only the once and then it wont update automatically any more.

As far as I can see the scheduled tasks are right, the options are right and the rss feed is set up right...

am i missing somewhere to check as this is doing my head in searching for fixes that might not be there
