Difference between an own style and a substyle
Hey,
I'm currently in the process of making a new theme. My first theme was an own style and now i'm asking myself what's difference between own style and a substyle? I'm always fast in updating my forum to the newest version and so far there had been plenty of problems with the own style because it didn't added new stuff and things like that. Are those things also occuring on a substyle or is that a problem because it is an alonestanding style? greetings. |
If you style has no parent or its an OWN style then it wont inherit properties, Sub-Styles are good if you have color variations of same style, basically if you have a sub-style, then any changes you make to the parent of that sub-style will be inherited by the sub-style (provided templates in both are identical).

Ah, okay. Thank you very much for clearing the situation. :)
