RSS Manager Woes
 

Hey guys,

I am trying really hard to get an RSS Feed to work (using RSS Manager) and something just isn't right with it. I am unsure if it is the feed itself or the RSS Manager.

Issue #1: RSSManager only imports 1 item from the feed

You will notice in the feed, the post is from the item on the very bottom of the RSS Feed list of items. Once that is posted, none of the others are ever posted. :( I only see 1 item in the RSSLog, so I don't think it is even trying to import the others :(

Issue #2: RSSManager has to be 'kickstarted' in order to work again

What I mean by this is that the RSS Feeds that are set up to run will only run if I manually run the following query:

update rssfeed set lastrun=0;

I got that from somewhere on this site or the .com site. Can't remember, but after I upgraded vB, the feeds stopped working unless I did this :(

OK, I would bet the guid is responsable for issue#1. I'll be testing that here in a bit.

ok, simple enough, that was the issue... the GUID. I fixed that temporarily although will definitely need to make a more permanent fix.

Issue #2 is still a problem, though :(

Any ideas on this one guys??? I am really stuck and just can't figure out why this thing won't retrigger unless I run that query :(
