HTML inserting extra lines in vB4 vs. vB3.

The custom BB code used to create those is identical, with the exception of pointing to /ihof/ben/ in one and /ccfl/ben/ in the other. Similarly...

The same code was used to generate the first posts in those threads.

Note the extra lines in vB4. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for help.
