Any chance of a "Disable Images" switch on the navbar?

Looking for a link or image somewhere in the navbar that a user can click that will disable the viewing of images as if they went to the options page and turned off "show Images." Pressing this link again will turn images back on. If there's some way of turning off smilies at the same time even better but not necessary.
