Smilies displayed on a Forum Block

Hello!
Was wondering if there is a way to get the smilies to display on the forum blocks.
We have created a block, programmed for the latest posts.

When the latest post is displayed, all is good, except the smilies: they appear as their text-code.

Is there a way to display the smilies on those forum blocks?
Am I missing something basic?

Bump, same problem in vb4.1.11, also happens in search results... Vbulletin.com says it has to be custom done
