Cannot import products
Hi, I have V-bulletin 4.0, and I am trying to install a new tabs hack. I tried to upload an XML file for VB 4.0, I enabled the plugin/hook system and when I go to:
Plugins & Products > Add/Import Product > upload the XML file from your computer (and press import) I get the following message: Invalid File Specified I also uploaded the XML files manually to my includes/xml folder on my server. I do not see the control (To add new tabs, go to: vBulletin Options> VBH New Tabs Option) for the hack in my admin cp. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=228507 What am I doing wrong? Thanks |

But it would be best to upload the mod xml file via the browser button instead btw. |
I attempted to upload from my computer via the browser button and it went to a screen that says:
Please wait and then below that: "Invalid File Specified." |

1) Uzip the mod package 2)Upload the includes folder inside the mod folder to the includes folder in your forum directory. 3)Import the product-vbh_newtabs10.xml file through your Acp->Plugins & Products->Manage Products->[Add/Import Product]->EITHER upload the XML file from your computer. Click the browse button, locate the mod xml file (product-vbh_newtabs10.xml) and hit the Import button. And then configure the mod to your likings. You can also reverse the order of the step 2 with 3 if you want. Hope it helps. |
Thanks, it worked. You know what I think I did wrong?
The folder contained two xml files: (1) product-vbh_newtabs10.xml (2) bitfield_vbhtabs.xml I imported (2) when I should have uploaded (1). |

The second xml file should go to the xml folder in the includes directory, hence being put in such a folder at the mod package. Anyway, glad to see that you got it solved. |
One question: the plugin hook system MUST be enabled to use the hacks downloaded at this site, right?

UPDATE: Never mind, I dragged the icons out of the window instead of extracting. I see the problem now. |
