(Extra Spam Protection) Prevent Posting Of Links On Forum Per Forum Basis
 

Originally I coded this as a paid mod for someone who bailed on me. So I decided to upload it here for anyone who might find it useful.

Anyway, this mod will allow you to make posting of links allowed/disallowed on a forum per forum basis.

After you install it, go to your Acp->Forums & Moderators->Forum Manager. Chose the forum where you want to prevent posting of links, click at Edit Forum and all the way to the bottom, under Enable / Disable Features, you will see a new setting that says: Miscellaneous Options with the following option: Allow Links in Posts & Threads. By default it is set to Yes, if you want to prevent links from being posted at that forum, change that to No.

Hi Borbole.. the given link to your forum is not found..

Can you modified this mod to make sure IMG & Video BBcode can bypass the permission ?

I don't want user to spam URL in thread, but link in IMG & Video is allowed.

Does this work for 4.2? If I seen this before I bet this mod would of worked better to prevent spammers on our forum instead of the spam o matic mod.

Can someone modify this mod...to make sure it will block URL only...IMG & video are excluded..

i noticed any link in any bbcode (Link, Image, Video) will be blocked....
