Users cannot log in
 

I am currently running 3.8.1 Patch Level 1

I have 2 users with the same IP (co-habitating). I have disabled any IP hacks.
The users are unable to login to my forum. I made them each a new user account and they were able to log in once, then log out, then the login info didn't work and they were rejected.

I have searched the admin panel high and low and cannot find an answer to why this is happening.

Any help would be appreciated.:confused:

Forgot to mention...I CAN personally login with their information, but they cannot.

Sounds like their browser isn't handling the cookies right- see if they can upgrade or change browsers... best would be if 1 could use one browser and the other a different one- but it shouldn't be happening.

What exact error are they getting?

they are getting you have used xx out of xx attempts at logging in, if you forgot your password, etc.

Getting quite frustrating. The board is closed registration, private. I have tried adding them as new members twice with the same results, so I figure it has something to do with them, but what?

I wonder if someone from somewhere else isn't trying to 'hack' their account using all their login attempts?

That would make sense, only I am able to get in with their account info. I am manually adding them as new users and picking passwords which instantly do not work :rollseyes:
