MP3 player plugin
 

Hi! Can someone please point me to a simple plugin to download in order to integrate an mp3 player on vb v3.8?

Sorry for this most simple request but so far I only found really fancy players to download and I think it may be an overkill.

You can use jw player.

Just add a bbcode

i.e. [mp3]url/file.mp3[/mp3]

Thanks! Sorry I am a bit of a noob.... so I would just download the file and upload it in the admin cp area for plugins? Is it that simple?

If you are going to host the mp3 files yourself then the jw player or others like it are fine... if you need a place to host the mp3 file then check out my zippyshare bb code:

Our members (this is a recording forum) usually have their tracks hosted on other places and the idea is that instead of posting a link to the track it will be much nicer to just wrap mp3 code around the url to play it right there and then in the post.

We also provided an option for members to attach tracks to posts, thereby hosting it ourselves, but members find it cumbersome to upload and download tracks every time they want to listen to a song.

Then installing an mp3 player like the other guy suggested is your best bet... You'd then make a custom BB Code to call that "player" so you'd use [mp3]http://somedomain/files/yourmp3.mp3[/mp3] in a post and it would embed the player. Once you have the player installed if you give me the URL to the player I can help you make the BB Code if you want, but it's easy.
