How Can I Embed Movies From Archives.org?
 

I have a you tube embed code uploaded on my Vbulletin 3.8, but I don't know how or where to find a code to embed these movies from website Archives dot org

Here's a copy of a code to embed that they provide, but can't seem to find someway to embed it onto the forum:

http://www.archive.org/details/All-Bran_Flakes

You can do it if you put it in a template (ETA: but that's not the same as posting it, so that probably doesn't help). I think you can also do it if the forum allows html, but I think that's something you don't want to do in general. Maybe you could allow HTML in a forum only moderators can post to, if that works for you.

BTW, just to save you time - you can't enable HTML, post something, then disable it, it won't work :)

What are you using for youtube? Maybe it can be modified.

You would need a BB Code to embed this video... I tested it and it can work but it's a major pain to use because the videos sometimes have 2 names is different places... so if you wanted to use it make a new BB Code called: archive.

Make the replacement code:

Use Option: Yes
All Disable Options: Yes

To use the code you need both an "option" and a "parameter"
Look at the embed code for any video... the option is the name after: {'autoPlay':false,'url':
The Parameter is the name after: {'autoPlay':true,'baseUrl':'http://www.archive.org/download/

The BB Code is formated as: [archive="option"]paramete[/archive]

For example look at:
http://www.archive.org/details/ExtremeLegoBreakdancing

The embed code they give is:

The BB Code to embed that video would be:

This is a lot more difficult to follow then sites like youTube who only have the parameter to worry about and no option.
