How to modify or override BBCode?

I'm looking to override or modify the way the IMG BB-Code works... can anyone point me to the specific file that handles this?

I would like to know this information as well so I can modify the [URL] code so links always open in a new window.

class_bbcode.php in includes

look for handle_bbcode_img method

kinda stupid that the integrated bbcodes are not displayed in the bbcode manager... :/
