Split forum onto multiple pages
 

I am trying to suss out how to split our forum into 2 or 3 parts, so on the navar I can put tabs for 'Community' and 'Technical' forums as an example, at the moment the home page is getting a bit over crowded, they will be on the same url with sub categories for example www.digidudez-forums.co.uk/technical, not a valid url, but I think you can see what I mean. ?

I have been searching for a hack using key words like 'split forum' but just getting loads of non relevant threads. ! This is probably easy and staring me in the face, but a little hint in the right direction would be very handy.! I have seen it done a lot on other sites, so I know it can be done.

Edit : just found this https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=92201 which looks close to what I need, but we are using 4.0.5.. ! The search goes on...lol
