How to upload to "forum.sitename.com"?

How do I upload vbulletin to "forum.sitename.com" instead of "sitename.com/forum" ?

That is something you would set up in your httpd.conf file. If you don't have access to that, then you need to talk to your host.

Could I just create a subdomain and upload it to that?
