Which method is best?

Hi all,
I have just purchased vb4.0.5 and upgraded to 4.0.6 without a problem.
what I would like to know is this.
I am running VB on my laptop using XAMPP local host 127.0.0.1 without a problem.
Would it be better to load VB into my bluehost server (live) using a different domain so that when I go live and replace my website I have now, or is it just as easy to transfer and load the files from my laptop when I have configured it and load it in place of the site I have now(after I make a copy of the DB) and swapping the DB over

thanks all
Mick

either or really. I guess it would come down to preference. People like having a 'dev' board online. Others use XAMPP... :)

Hey Kevin thanks for the reply but Either I didn't explain right or I just don't understand your reply.

I have VB loaded to my laptop and want to configure it first.
Is it possible to move it live onto my bluehost with out a problem or will I have difficulties once I have configured it on my laptop. In short am I safe doing it at home NON-LIVE then making it live and keeping all the info.

Thanks
sorry if I didn't explain properly or get your reply just dont want to spend a lot of time doing this only to find I cant move it and get it working later
