vb.org Archive - What's New Button Showing Blogs, Articles & Group Posts

Hey guys, I've been trying to figure out how to make the What's New button display more than just new forum threads by default. I realize that underneath What's New are subheads that let you search new blogs, group communication, articles etc. The problem is that most people just click What's New (including myself), and don't really care about the other buttons.

This seems like it would be a pretty standard request, but I haven't been able to find any info on this.

So, is there a way you can modify 'What's New' in stock VB, or does anyone know of a mod/hack that will do something similar?
