Stylevars Profile question

I am trying to change the background color of the "about me" page on the profile section. IAlternately, I would like to change the font color on the same page. I cant find either of them. :(

Also, I would like to change the color of the font on the copyright text.

I hate stylevars. :( Its just sooo confusing.

Can someone help.

TIA
:)

Do you mean the background of *only* the About Me section (not the other sections)? And only the background directly below where the tabs are?

I guess I need to change the entire profile section. But mostly, the area below the tabs. The font is black, but my background is a dark teal. You simply cant read it.

The tabs are the same way. You cant read them until you mouse over them. I would prefer to change the fonts to white, but when I tried to do that, it changed the font in areas where the background is white also, so you couldnt read it.

I'll look at that link and see what I can find. (but shortcuts would be appreciated too. :) )

thanks

I have looked at that link, downloaded firebug and played with it a bit. It does assume a certain level of knowledge to use it that I dont have though. :(

Oh well.

Edited to add, I looked through all theprofile stylevars and none of them show the current background color. So, is part of the profile stylevars not in the profile section?

I really really really hate the stylevars system! Did I mention that? :(

Sometimes you just need to write the css yourself. For instance, if it's only for about me, then something like:
HTML Code:

.profile_content #view-aboutme {background:pink;}
If under all tabs, then just
HTML Code:

.profile_content {background:pink;}
I would probably add some padding in there too, but that's just me.

So there isnt a stylevars to change that? I'm a bit surprised, but it is what it is I guess. I have no idea how to go about doing that. Guess I need to work on figuring it all out. (in my dreams!LOL)

Thanks for your help.
