FPSDev - Game Developers Resource Community

Hi All,

So I'm back with a new project and a new community I am trying to get off the ground. I released the site on the 23rd and so far it's had some good traffic thanks to some cross-forum promotions. However, I'm looking to push it over the edge and could really use some advise from successful forum creators. The website in question here is:

http://www.fpsdev.com

The site will attract the PC gaming community. Essentially people interested in posting their custom content like maps, textures, skins, etc that can be used for various STEAM-based games. I've added some nice plugins and modifications (like vBSEO and vBa Dynamics) and also did some basic theme for the site to make it look a bit more professional. Anymore feedback on what I have done so far and what I can do going forward to help bring in more appeal would be great.

On my to-do list:
  • Push the tutorials section to bring out more high-quality write-ups.
  • Find a way to promote the downloads section better on the homepage (limitation of plugin).
Thanks all for the feedback in advance!

Not to seem mean or post dig, but do you contribute any feedback to peoples threads, I have seen about 20 of your posts and they all only say, "great job" or "people will love this"

I guess it didn't go so well for the OP:

Thanks for the support!

I really appreciate all the support and effort to make the site something nice. Unfortunately I don't have the time necessary to put into it, so I apologize for this failed experiment. I hope you guys can understand. I will consider selling the domain to anyone who is interested so please email me. Thanks
