increase number of new posts pages ??
 
Currently the pages stored for new posts is maxxed at 25 pages on the new posts page.

Is there any way that this can be changed to say like 40 or 50?

you can do it in your admincp > vboptions
I'm not sure where it is in 4.0, but 3.x it's under Thread Display Options (showthread)
