Need BBcode [code] to parse Links
Please Help, I am in desperate need to have the parse any links within the codes. I have a lot of posters who obviously do not speak english that are just copying and pasting preexisting threads on my site which contain the [code] tags and links between the tags, but I have right click disabled on my site for most users so people are unable to click the links nor able to copy the links easily. I desperately need a way to change [code] to something different or to enable link parsing within the division.
Thank You --------------- Added [DATE]1280072698[/DATE] at [TIME]1280072698[/TIME] --------------- ahhh come on this should be an easy solution for someone here. |
Does anyone on this site help others especially with easy fixes?

i don't think any one here knows what ur talking about add more details of what ur trying to do and less words...

I see what he wants, I think, basically convert 'code' to 'url' - I would help if I could... I came across a way to convert 'url' to 'code' once but that wouldn't be of much help... also I think converting 'code' to 'url' would be a bad idea in general, maybe the best course of action is to disable the 'right click disabling' which foils no one with half a brain.

you see what i mean!
Q. after reading all the nice words till me did you get what your looking for? A. nop |
LOL, well sadly no, No True Answer or Solution. When a person uses the tag [code] in brackets like most sites do then the links are not click able nor parsed. I have a bunch of foreign posters making threads by copying whats on another site which has the [code] Links [ /code]. Right click is disabled to prevent people from easily copying links and most times bypassing my ads by right clicking a link and opening in new tab or copying link location which cannot be allowed. There has to be a way I can enable link parsing inside the [code] or replace the bbcode_code template information with information that will parse the links and make them clickable by default for all pre-existing threads.
If I delete bbcode_code template will that render [code] inoperable and therefore ignored and treated as text then the links will parse automatically? |
The only sites I've see that use 'code' tag for URLs are warez sites.

so no solution from a programmer or coder on this one?
--------------- Added [DATE]1280420330[/DATE] at [TIME]1280420330[/TIME] --------------- yeah the VB Team should know a solution to this one but looks like they are not in the mood to help |
