AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > Unregistered / Not Logged In (EDIT)
- Blog General Permissions
- - Can View Other's Blog - NO

In fact just set all Blog permissions to NO for any Usergroups that you don't want to give any access to your Blog.

awesome.
thank you soo much.
i'm sure it seemed like a real simple answer to most people, but those of us with limited experience it's a large world to navigate.
i thank you for taking the time to answer me.

cheers

Hey fellas,

I actually have a blog problem. I'm admin of my site, but i don't own it, i co-admin it, but i am having trouble with the blog. Getting this message, for me and users.

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forums/entries/31-Small-Market-teams-failing-in-a-league-of-stars. on this server.

That's when i click on the blog link. I can see the list of blogs, but can't view the written content.

Some help would be great. Thanks

This blog permissions business is just as screwy as pretty much EVERY other portion of vB4. I'm trying to figure out why the CMS needed it's own category in the Admincp for article permissions, but the blog permissions use the same old forum engine setup.

Oh well. It's been one week since my upgrade and, even after working day in and day out, I'm still no closer to having the thing setup properly.

As far as I can see, you have to give each user group permission to see a certain users blogs - that is, done through the individual user settings under blog settings. Why the ++++ the blog permissions are here, I haven't a clue.

but I am seriously regretting investing my money in the PoS that is VB4. Why oh why didn't xenForo come out before I had a chance to put my money down.
