vB 4 IRC-Chat?
 

Hey,

is there any function or mod where i can create a webchat in vBulletin using our IRC-Channel?

So that you can access our IRC-Channel while being on the page through java or something like that?

You could use CGI IRC, and implement it with a iFrame in a widget. http://cgiirc.org/
I use it on my site and it works fine.

I just tried this on my site and seems to work fine with vb 4.1.3. I had to go into the product xml file and remove the dependency which was set incorrectly. It says it will work with vb 4.x yet when you attempt to install it, it says that it's incompatible with 4.0.0 and up. I don't know... go figure... lol :erm: Anyway, works for me. If you want to try it, go to http://www.talkvirginia.net/irc.php To have this working on your site, you may need to go through a service like http://www.mibbit.com

I've enabled it so that guests can try it out.
