Full width header

I am trying to get a full width header on my site. It must be complicated. I haven't seen any post explaining how to make your own custom header in vbulletin. Now I just made a header image which I am trying to fit into the header. I also want to get rid of the blue header background so that I can use my header.
I would appreciate if somebody here is kind to help.
