Thread Prefix in VB3?
I'm curious if the thread prefix you see on vB4 in the forums can be accomplished easily in vB3.
I want to have a couple of things happen - 1. add a prefix that makes a thread status open, answered, etc. 2. Make the prefix required to be selected before posting 3. Choose the forums that will use the prefix 4. hopefully have the prefix be searchable, e.g. find "wagon" in all threads which have been answered Have any of you guys done something like this? I'm sure you have, just not sure if it's stock in vb3 or only in vb4. |
Assigning prefixes to forums can be done by creating the prefix and it'll ask you what forums you want to use that prefix.
Making the prefix searchable you can use the query string &prefixid=, which you can either hardcode into the Rich Text field when creating or edit the forumdisplay template to do. |
