How to change "What's New" search type

Hey guys,

I want to include "What's New" to include CMS articles, and then find a way to remove my 'CMS comments forum' from it.

So, essentially, they don't see the CMS comments thread in search, rather the actual CMS article which links them to the full CMS article.

Has anyone done this?
