Any Mod to Log User Notes and Display them in Postbit?
 

Hi there,

As an administrator, is there any mod which allows me to keep short notes on particular users, and to display these notes in the postbit?

This allows me to better remember users and what they have done before in the past; as the information then get displayed immediately when reading threads/posts.

I'm using vb4.03.

You would need a custom modification....

Shame it would be a great use to have something along these lines

I believe all "mods" are considered custom, but I always thought that we use the word "custom" for something that works only on a specific board, rather than being of general application.

In this case, I believe that a mod that can do what I require isn't that "custom" after all, since it can be used for any board alike. Still a "mod" nonetheless.

Its easy enough to go to the user profile and click notes.

I disagree with that. Try keeping track of usernotes on on 100.000 profiles when most profiles do not contain any.
Usernotes in postbit would help somewhat.

User Notes are only accessible on user profiles. They are mostly forgotten and not used, because no one will see the user note, unless it is specifically looked up. Instead many boards use one or more staff discussion threads to post notes about members. Its extremely hard to track the behaviour of members on a busy site.

There should be a wall of user notes, with functionality for staff to post to the wall. Optimally there should be a positive and a negative wall. Such walls should be accessible in a staff zone.

Now IMO that would be the best feature they could add to vbulletin!

Hmm it seems like no mod does the required user notes feature or display of a user note on postbit? I just require a single line field to display in postbit; more details can be done in the actual user notes section which has no limit on number of notes or length. The postbit note could remind or prompt me to check on the detailed user notes where necessary.

I would be also interested in that post-bit upgrade possibility.

That visual feedback of the info registered of users would be of great help.
