Need help !!

Hello everyone,

Recently I agreed to build a forum for my organization. But to be honest I know nothing about forum of web development!
I have general knowledge about computers so I can google it, but using help in this page is more valuable. So would anyone give me any info or webpages/links that have basic ideas about forum building? (especially vB 4.0 since I already have one) Something like "what is..." and "how to.." are great, too. :D

Any help is really appreciated.:)

Have you read the manual yet? It's a pretty good place to start

Yes it was !! But I was reading through it for a while, and seems like it is made for user that already know about forum building :p so there are lots of things i don't really understand :o

Like this one "Before installing vBulletin you need to have PHP and MySQL and have created a database within the MySQL engine to hold vBulletin's data"

I downloaded PHP for Windows but when it comes to MySQL I'm a little confused. There're bunch of downloads like MySQL Community Server, MySQL Cluster, My SQL Proxy, Connector.. now what should I choose??

Of course Community Server ;)

Have you found a host? If not start looking for one that has the latest versions of php and mysql. Then go to the Mysql Area at the cp and create there a database and enter its details at the config.php file when installing vb.

Let us know if you will have more questions.
