Help with changing icons / colours
 

Sorry for the simple question but can someone point me in the right direction (link for instructions or a how to?) on how to change the colours and or icons for the pic displayed.

Check the folder /upload/images/statusicon in your vB4 zip file.

It contains those images. You can replace them with icons of your choice by overwriting the same ones on the server, or specifying another path to those icons in the AdminCP for another style you can also create in the Style Manager.

Where exactly do I change the icon file names for the forum to display the new icons? I can see where the icons are and have downloaded some but need to update / change the file name.

Do I need them as a .jpg or .gif? Current ones are .gif.

I was thinking of renaming them and overwriting but not sure if that would work
