Users albums interference problem

Hi there just upgraded a friends 3.8 forum to vb4.0.3 and see a slight problem. With new users signing up they are able to see the new vb4 users albums upload and attachment upload interference but with older members they are yet getting old vb3 upload interference ... any help would be appreciated ..
