Best arcade option for vb3
 

what is the best arcade to run on vB 3.8.5?

Would you be able to help me install it, having some problems.

I've had both IBPro and v3 arcade which I have now. Biggest issue is support- bugs reported on v3arcade forums seem to go unanswered for weeks, if ever... I've had to fix one in the code myself otherwise I'd still be waiting... poorly implemented options IMO (such as monimum rep needed to play games. Why should rep matter?) and lacking some important ones IBPro has, such as hiding some games from certain usergroups. The biggest plus for v3 is you have more games available... you can use all the ibPro games, plus v3 games of which there are few, plus MochiMedia games of which there are many... also they say you can make money by integrating with MochiMedia which is difficult to say the least as some of their links don't even work- not sure if that's been fixed yet, though I brought it to their attention. That said once actually setup it's as easy as checking a box to install new games but 'making money' is a total scam...I have a pretty decent sized site, 750k posts, get good arcade traffic... in 1 month I've "made" 7 cents from MochiMedia games... 7 cents... and I'm pretty sure they don't send you any money until you hit $100 so I should get my first check in 119 years at this rate. v3arcade seems to be a bit more stable and I've had fewer reports of it not getting saved high scores, but still some. Bottom line if you want simple to install MochiMedia games and to make a few cents extra go with v3... if you need more options and don't mind uploading games to install then you're better off with ibPro.

ibProArcade is the best arcade game out there. It's also the most installed and supported modification here on vBulletin.org :)

I'm embarrassed to say I changed to v3 because I searched and searched and could find no mention of it in any of the mod forums... only to find out later that it in fact had its own subforum.

All reported issues go on the working 'punch list' of stuff to do. When I'll get home tonight I'll update your v3A account and you'll see what I mean. There is more that goes on over there based upon usergroups.

Already mentioned that I'd be adding that as a feature for you. ;)

Likely that'll be added at some point but not until the next major scrubbing.

Yep, which is we why even made a point of addressing that in the FAQ. :)

... and the next release should cut down even further with the Mochi scoring issues a bit.
