One ad location to multiple VB forums??
 
I have three VB sites with essentially the same content but geographically separated. I wish to store all of my advertisements in one location but have them randomly placed on my all of my VB sites . I think I need one of two options (but this is out of my league, admittedly).
1 - A "temporary" storage that randomly rotates ads to a specific location "X" and have the VB sites reference to "X".
or
2 - Have a way to randomly (but equally) rotate from each VB site to the permanent storage.

Does anyone have any suggestions, mods, or system that will perform like this? Obviously, I would also prefer to track impressions, CTR, limit monthly impressions, etc...

I guess I'm not understanding the question... I store my banner ads on a separate server, I just put the full URL to the image in my random banner plugin, it doesn't care where they are hosted so long as you can access them via http.

I guess my confusion is this, I have three sites and do plan to store the banners remotely.
1st - I want rotating banners, not static and I am not sure how this is done.
2nd - How do I track and limit the impressions. Is there a plugin for that? I understand I can reference to them anywhere on the web, but the tracking and limiting impressions is a concern.

Thanks for any advice....anyone.

Mine is just a random banner plugin, I don't track # of impressions or clicks, I just know they show up randomly...

If you want to use it, make a new plugin, hook location: global_start, execution order: 5

$random_banner[2] = '<a href="http://www.officedelegate.com/"><img src="http://qapla.com/juotbanners/banner_officedel.gif" alt="Office Delegate - Administrative Project Management" border="0" /></a>';

$random_banner[3] = '<a href="http://www.babyonhold.com/"><img src="http://qapla.com/juotbanners/bohbanner1.jpg" alt="Visit Baby on Hold" border="0" /></a>'; 
That code picks 1 of 3 random banners, you can obviously edit it for as many banners as you want... just add an entry for each and change the "3" in the rand() function to your max number.

Then in your ad_header_logo template, or wherever you want to show a banner ad:

And you have a basic random banner setup.. though without the tracking options you want. There are random banner mods available but personally I never found one as simple as the above implementation.
