Replace referal field at registration with drop down list?
 
Is it possible to replace the referal field at the registration form with a drop down list, that contains the usernames of the users from a special group (promoters)?

I've been looking into it, but im insecure wether vBulletin will be okay if i just replace the

That really wouldn't be a fair way to do it, in my opinion, as the new user might not have any idea who the people in the list are or was referred by someone else entirely.
